it's an uneasy relationship-

they trip over eachother

they curse, they spit.

girl discovers better living

through sweet chemical kisses.

for one moment

girl and self dance, harmonious.

she is stunned into the

only happiness she's ever known.

(scene three)

girl sleeps days away-

her dreams are so thick and intense

that life itself begins to

seem anticlimactic.

girl's life slips away unoticed

through the cracks in the door.

(final scene)

girl is dissapaited

vanished-a magician's cheap trick.

a cloud of smoke

a razor's edge

a loss

a nothing.

[FADE TO RED,GREY, BLACK]

girl sits at computer terminal

writes to self.

[sighs]
